Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern your use of Kestrel ("the service"). By using Kestrel, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What Kestrel is

Kestrel is an information service that monitors the FCA Financial Services Register and surfaces changes — such as senior management joins and departures — at firms you choose to track. It is designed as a research and monitoring tool for financial professionals.

Access and accounts

Access to Kestrel is by invitation only. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or attempt to access accounts that are not yours.

Payment

Subscription fees are agreed individually at the time of onboarding. Fees are due in advance. We reserve the right to suspend access if payment is not received. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Accuracy of data

Kestrel sources data from the FCA's publicly available Financial Services Register. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information we surface. The FCA Register itself may contain errors or delays, and our detection of changes depends on polling intervals.

Nothing in Kestrel constitutes financial, legal, or regulatory advice. You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act on information provided by the service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kestrel is not liable for any loss or damage arising from:

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.

Acceptable use

You may not use Kestrel to:

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these terms, if payment lapses, or if we decide to discontinue the service. We will give reasonable notice where possible.

Changes to the service

We may modify or discontinue features of Kestrel at any time. We will notify active users of material changes by email where reasonably practicable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
